SUDHA MURTHY AS A PHILANTHROPIST

Abstract

Sudha Murthy is a prolific writer of Indian English Literature. Her Literature addresses various aspects of society. she launched herself into philanthropy in the year of 1996. Her journey of Philanthropy started with the establishment of the Infosys Foundation. Infosys foundation is non – profit charity wing of the company. Apart from the powerful words of her literature, the philanthropist Sudha Murthy lived among various social issues and work to uplift the causes. There is ample amount of data for causes she addressed spanning from women’s empowerment, Sanitation and public hygiene, healthcare, education, art and cultures, poverty alleviation, villages developments, unconditionally care of downtrodden people and many more. Her dedication for development in education area is unstoppable. I am privileged to study about her work in all main area viz. Women Empowerment, Children’s Education, Healthcare, Art and Culture, Destitute care, Rural Development to this research paper.
