AI chatbots are a specific type of AI system. They can have conversations, adapt to individual users, and create a sense of being socially present. Their use in workplaces is on the rise. This study conducts a thorough review of existing research on how AI chatbots collaborate in the workplace, opening thedoor to potentialnew research areas in theInformation Systems(IS) field. the review doesn’t just cover journal articles but also conference papers. it identifies three key themes from the literature: value co-creation ethical considerations, and the user experience. ultimately, the study offers recommendations, for further research in this increasingly important area of AI chatbots.
