Abstract

Teaching skills are the skills of a teacher that make the teaching process effective and achieve educational objectives. It is an important skill by which a teacher teaches efficiently. Teaching skills are mainly writing skills, reading skills, reading skills and listening skills as well as micro-teaching skills in which, after gaining proficiency, teaching is effective. Apart from the essential teaching skills, teachers also need some more intangible skills that cannot be measured, these can help teachers to become more effective. Such skills are known as soft skills. Soft skills help teachers work collaboratively with students, colleagues, parents, and the community and master their teaching profession. Soft skills are a set of skills that improve our behavior and personality. Various soft skills of a teacher - communication skills, leadership skills, development of socio-emotional feeling, patience, adaptability, empathy, self-assessment, time management, commitment, conflict resolution, organization, working in a group, etc. are important soft skills, which the teacher can develop to improve his/her learning, work, personality and to make the teaching process more effective.
